I'm new to Kickstarter. How does this work?

First of all, welcome! You start by choosing a backing tier. “Witch Apprentice” is the support tier. You can choose this one if you just want to support us without a reward. Choose “Coven Leader” if you’d like to purchase the game. You can also choose to increase the dollar amount when you pledge. If you don’t already have an account, you’ll be prompted to create one. Once the campaign has ended, your credit card will be charged. Some time after the campaign, a survey email will be sent from Backerkit. This is where you will select your reward and pay for shipping, as well as have the option of purchasing more copies of the game if you so desire. The “Magic Vendor” tier is exclusively for retailers.

I'd like multiple copies of the game. How do I get them?

There are two ways to go about this. The first option is to select the “Coven Leader” tier and multiply the dollar amount by 25 for each copy you’d like. For example, if you wanted 3 copies, you’d pledge $75. The second option is to pledge for a single copy now and after the campaign, you can add more copies through Backerkit.

Can I pledge a small amount now and get the game later?

Yes! If you choose the “Witch Apprentice” support tier, you can pledge as low as $1 now, and after the campaign, you’ll get access to Backerkit. This means that if you change your mind later and decide to get a copy (or multiple) of the game, whatever amount you chose to donate will be applied as a credit towards your purchase. However, we do recommend backing during the campaign to both ensure we meet our funding goal and that you receive the game. We don’t anticipate “Witch Way” being widely available in stores after the Kickstarter.

What is the "Magic Vendor" tier? How does it work?

This tier is exclusively for brick and mortar or online retailers. Proof of business must be shown in order to qualify for this tier. The $10 pledge acts as a deposit, which will be applied to your order once the Backerkit survey is sent out. A minimum of 1 case (6 copies) must be ordered. Retailers receive the game at 50% off the MSRP, plus shipping.

How much is shipping? When will it be charged?

There is a graphic featuring shipping estimates located near the bottom of the campaign story. These are based on approximations given by our fulfillment company, but are liable to change by the time the game ships. For this reason, shipping won’t be charged until the Backerkit survey is sent to ensure the rates are as accurate as possible.

Are there any countries you don't ship to?

There are a few locations we are unfortunately unable to ship to. Due to mailing restrictions, we are unable to deliver to the following countries: Belarus, North Korea, Ukraine, Russia. Our fulfillment company has also said they’ve encountered issues shipping to the Middle East and certain areas of South America, but for the most part, say they’re able to ship to these locations.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
